The Biggest Loser, Yoplait and Personal Trainage.

I met with my personal trainer tonight as promised. We reviewed my diet, talked about nutrition and all that good stuff. It's funny - she told me that she saw I eat a lot of Yoplait (110 calories, yummy yogurt)... and that I shouldn't anymore because it contains High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Watching The Biggest Loser tonight, I saw Bob recommend Yoplait to Joelle's partner. I just thought that was hilarious. Shouldn't they NOT be recommending foods that contain high fructose corn syrup? I think there is an advertising partnership with Yoplait and The Biggest Loser.

Anyhoo!

Great news... I did my official weigh in for Lighten Up Wisconsin, and I weighed in at 218! I was 225 on December 8th. SO, that means 6 weeks, 7 pounds, 1.16 lbs per week. My trainer said that I had a stall when I changed my calorie intake from 1700 to 1200 so immediately. That, plus over the holidays... I'm still excited about the loss, and I'm looking forward to doing even better over the next few months!

It's my goal to get to 200 by March 24th!
My cruise leaves on the 28th, and it would be great to be down another 18 pounds by then. That's a healthy weight loss of 2 pounds per week for 9 weeks. :)

OH WOW!!! Congrats on the healthy AND steady weightloss!!!! You should be very proud of yourself! Especially since most people GAIN over the holidays! Congrats! Girl, what's 2lbs/week from now till March? That's nothing! (Just stay away from the yogurt...my trainer even told me to stay away from High Fructose Corn Syrup).

I'm betting Yoplait has some sort of sponsorship agreement with the show to help promote Yoplait's "healthy" image.

It's funny how certain details don't get rolled out universally, though. I decided to try a healthier, granola-like cereal instead of my usual Lucky Charms or Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It said on the front that it was the "Almond, Honey, and Flaxseed" kind. I said, "Oh, I saw something about flaxseed on Jenn's blog" and bought it. Then I notice that these flaxseeds are whole, and I read on your blog they need to be ground. Could someone please notify the cereal company of that essential detail?
