My brilliant and dear friend Rob wrote a blog entry touching on his lack of preference for poetry that doesn't rhyme. His logic was that if Dr. Seuss could make everything rhyme, anyone should be able to! :) His wife pointed out to him that Dr. Seuss made up words. :)
I left him a fun comment that I thought I'd share with you guys.
I share your opinions too,
Though people rarely think
To rhyme the way dear Seuss would do
Of chairs and kitchen sinks
But years of English schooling shows
Though I might not agree
Writers can be right, sans prose...
With fufubockery.

I must afirm your fufubock
a word we should rejoice
There is no need for us to mock
those whom do rhyme by choice
Too often do the cynics sneer
And grit their pearly pearl's
At poets who just live to cheer
the lives of Wangaburls
