Yeah, I had a wedding and two graduation parties this weekend! I ate a crapload of fruit, but I also ate a crapload of pasta salad, cookies, cake bar things and some wedding cake too. So, big chocolate covered kudos to those of you who went to a variety of festivities this weekend and didn't cave in. Me? I'm totally the "well, it's here and I'll do a tiny plate and have a little bit" kind of girl. Plus, since I don't eat any meat (other than fish) - I skip what might be a healthier wrap with turkey or something and instead the baked goods are safe for me.
It's tough to find a balance.
So! I'm heading back to the gym tonight. I'll post something about it here later! :)
Also, I've been wanting to post this video that my friend Hanlie posted. I can't wait for this movie!
Social events can really mess with the best-laid plans...
Thanks for spreading the word re the movie!
Oh Miss Jenn, how I will miss you so! I cannot wait to come back and print all your blogs that I missed and curl up in my bed and read them all at once! Im a nerd, I know! LOL.
I have such a hard time on the weekends, social events provide the perfect opportunity to overeat (and overdrink). I often find myself hating the scale on Monday morning, must find a balance.
I can't wait to see that movie!! It is so true - if we start demanding REAL, nutritious food they will supply it. Go fresh, local and organic!
I find it very fitting that this movie comes out on my birthday :) Especially since this year my focus has been on local, organic produce and avoiding anything packaged. Thanks for posting this! I hadn't even heard of it until now.
