Andrew's gonna kill me.

My long time, very good friend Andrew is ridiculously hot, in shape and convincing.

He's on my ass all the time about my fitness. (In a very nice, super good friend, non-asshole way.)

Maybe it's because he knew me when I looked like this (Me/Andrew below):

He convinced me yesterday that I should be working out in the mornings 30 minutes 6 days a week and I somehow agreed to this. Well, today is the first day, and I woke up just in enough time to check e-mail, write this up real quick while eating my yogurt and head out the door.

I just hate exercise, and I hate it too much to do it right when I wake up. And I wake up with barely enough time to go do the shit I need to do for the day.

Argh. Well, Andrew... I'm gonna go move a couch and a bunch of tubs of stuff, and clean for about three hours. Does that count? ;)

And Andrew, don't you know that back in the Jenn-hot-days, I didn't work out at ALL? I was just super strict with my diet. (shrinks back and waits for lecture.)

Oh, by the way. Today I saw 210.4. Down 4 pounds in two days. Bye-bye water weight.

I want to lose a freakin' pound a day until I go home in August. HA!

Yahoooooooooo, Jenny. The great thing about working out in the morning is that you get it over with and you've got the rest of the day not to think of having to go DO IT 'cause it's already DONE!!!!

Love you,

Mom

Find a time that works for you. I fit mine into my lunch hour (I joined a gym right around the corner from my office). It can be a time-suck, but I think I make up for it with more energy all day, plus I sleep like a drunk baby.

Nice pic.

Nuh uh, Jack, babies cant get drunk.

I wonder if there really is a good time to work out, there are just soooo many different opinions out there! Work out when you want to! :)

I hope the workout went good today. I enjoy getting up in the morning to exercise, but I can understand when someone chooses to do it different. If you aren't a morning person, and you don't want to exercise, that is not a good combination. :-) I have to say good work to Andrew getting you to commit to it though.

I tried for.ev.er to work out in the morning, but I just cannot drag my ass outta bed early enough.... afternoon/night works best for me. As long as you're working out, I figure it's a win :)

I really think you have to find a time that works for you, just like Jack said. If you are not a morning person, AM workouts are going to suck.

What's up with the Zumba classes? You love that...I say you need to do exercise that you sort of like. I know you didn't like the Zumba DVDs, but what about maybe like a bellydancing DVD or even a striptease DVD or a Bollywood DVD (I swear there's all these options out there...)?

Or putting on some rollerblades and doing that? Or getting on a bike? Find a cardio that doesn't suck so bad for you so that you'll want to sort of do it. Have you tried spin? some people swear by it.

(oh, and you are hot- even now. :o)

Wow, he is hot!

I dig morning workouts, mostly. The only thing that really sucks is that by the time about 2 or 3 pm rolls around I'm ready to crash. I get soooo tired.

hey! no eating before your morning workout. You will burn more fat if it is the only thing your body has to burn. And no backing out of this one, you, I had a solem "ahhhg.... fine,... ok, alright!" from you.

Lets try it again, but with FEELING.

I prefer afternoon/evenings also. On the weekends the only option is the morning, and it makes for such lazy days, and tired nights.

80% of what you look like is a function of your diet. I say this as a professional in fitness and someone who's lost 60 pounds and kept it off. You can't out exercise a bad diet, period.

2x/week working out is all you need. Strength training with weights + 20 minutes of interval cardio training. Hire a personal trainer, it's worth every penny.
