Long time no posty.

Hello all!

Well, I'd like to offer my profound apologies for my calloused neglect in updating the past few days. We all know that being on vacation can make the days fly by and for me, that has definitely been the case.

I REALLY want to thank all of you for the sweet, awesome, kind, fabulous comments you left on my last post about the New Years dress and how I looked. You all are so sweet, I can't even stand it!!!

So, I've been keeping up my low carb eating, and I'm really happy about that. I know that low carb eating isn't for everyone, but I feel amazing when I cut bread, potatoes and pasta from my diet. No more snacking on crackers or eating mac and cheese. I feel lighter, my bloat goes away completely and I have a TON of energy.

I've been roughly maintaining around 169-170 over the vacation. I have had Pho twice, so that's probably to blame for a little bit of the fluctuation, plus normal fluctuation, of course. :)

So! I have nothing else cool to report. I wanted to share some more photos with you guys, 'cause, well, that's what I do.

Low carb works really well for me, too....but I did add fruit back in so now it is more like "lowish carb". Grains and potatoes just stick to my behind like glue....darn it....I need to avoid them as much as possible.

GREAT pics! Love the "atlas" one. :)

I love your photography!

I'm trying to do lower, healthier carb dieting. It's a struggle. I love my Mac&Cheese, and winter makes me want to stay inside and curl underneath the covers, but I'm trying to stay motivated.

Hi,

I caught wind of your blog and you seem to be doing really well with your weight loss journey. I too have created a blog so people can give pointers and encouragement to help me lose weight. I have about 60 lbs to lose. My blog is www.dietsurplusdisorder.blogspot.com. I have called it Diet Surplus Disorder because I feel that is exactly what I have experienced. So many diets and yet still so much weight to lose. I'm trying a new diet every 3-4 weeks hoping this will avoid the monotony of any one diet and hopefully this will keep me motivated. I only have a couple of followers on my site and I'm wondering if you have any pointers on how to get more followers? I would love it if you would become a follower on my blog as I can use all the help I can get and as you've been pretty successful on your diet journey, I'm sure you've got some good ideas on keeping motivated! Hope to be inspired by you soon!

Hi!

I'm male, 30, British, overweight and started a weight-loss journey just four short days ago. I won't bore you with the details but after discovering your blog around November last year I figured I should do one of my own, keep me honest.

I just wanted to say that I've spent last few evenings reading your entire blog from start to finish. I will admit to skipping a lot of the John Mayer/Chris Thile posts and much of your family-related content (I'm not some trans-atlantic stalker). You truly are a great inspiration to me and I want to congratulate you on how far you've come.

Though I'm a software engineer by trade I do photography on the side for the love of it and have my third wedding coming up later this year. Your wedding photography is some of the best I've seen and is proving quite the inspiration.

All the best,
Lewis

Well, I (like many who have commented here) am new to your blog, but I think it's fabulous! I'm not actually trying to lose weight (because I lack motivation), but I love seeing people make and work towards meeting their goals, it's very inspiring. You looked beautiful before (I'm part of the group that hates saying people only look beautiful after they lose weight, because everyone is beautiful when you really think about it!!), but you definitely look very lovely now. Can't lie, I like you very much more without the highlights that are in your side photo, much more natural.

Oh so on to the point of me commenting, damn rambling, I go on a couple blogs every day but my attention to them has waned and I'm always just excited to see if you've posted again! By the way, if you haven't seen Outblush blog, it's a women's shopping thing and gives me fabulous things to lust over every day. I'm not affiliated with it, I just think it's great.

Lastly, I share your love of John Mayer. I'm going to his concert in Va in March and am sitting 8th row floor, I will probably pass out from sheer love and adoration. My jealousy over your Mayercraft trip is unexplainable, but I'm glad someone cool got to experience it.

At this point, I should probably stop writing :) Keep up the great work!

LOVE the family shot. It's the least-nerdy family portrait I've ever seen. And that's saying something. ;-)

Great blog pics! Can you tell me where you got the current weight and goal weight photos? What program is that? I'd like to do that of myself!
