Congratulations to the New American Idol!!!!!

Kris Allen!

WTF?!??!?!??!

I've never been so shocked.

Well, here's to you kid:

I LOVE you, Adam! I am shocked you didn't win. You are truly a star... now hurry up and cut an album so I can buy it!!!!! <3

Tonight's Finale Recap...

Performances:

The top 13 performance of "So What" by Pink... SUCKED.

David Cook's performance was phenomenal. I freakin' love him. He's ridiculously hot and mad talented. It's official, and maybe too late for an "Idol Fan"... but I have to buy his album. ****ABC squared is getting the proceeds from the iTunes clip of David's performance tonight. Please go buy it... ABC squared is a foundation that looks for a cure for cancer.

Jason Mraz: I'm Yours is one of my favorite songs, ever. I love that Jason was on the show. I'm pissed that blonde biatch couldn't remember the damn words when she was SINGING WITH THE ARTIST WHO WROTE IT. I mean, you had one freakin' line to remember, you stupid girl!!! On a side note... Jason... really shouldn't do the goatee thing.

Fergie / Black Eyed Peas: I love Fergie, she's so beautiful, and I love the brown hair. The Black Eyed Peas performance got cut for some reason in the middle... I wonder what happened. All I can say is that the Black Eyed Peas are not nearly appealing without Fergie in there. She's got such a great voice and stage presence. I was bored until she started singing. Oh yeah, she's got great legs. I should mention that. Zow!

Carlos Santana: This was great. They did a little bit of Black Magic Woman. Plus, Carlos Santana is a legend. Oh, but then the rest of the stinky idol crew came onto the stage and everyone sang Smooth. And then Adam sang and shook around a bit in his super hot outfit. Black pants, black shirt, black suspenders and a maroon tie. Holy crap.

Megan Joy, Michael Sarver and Steve Martin!
I LOVE Steve Martin. he played the banjo. Okay, Steve Martin is the shit, people. It's just too bad they put him with the stinky Megan Joy and mediocre Michael Sarver. Seriously, when Megan started "oh, owh, owhing" I wanted to stab myself in the face. Steve Martin wrote this song called "Pretty Flowers," and I feel so bad that it was slaughtered the way it was. By the way, he has a new album. It came out yesterday.

The Guys and Rod Stewart:
If you want my body and you think I'm sexy... yeah, we did have the hottest top two, plus Michael and Danny. Lots of adorable guys this year. It was cute and fun. I love how even in the large groups, Adam's voice just stands out like nobody's business. Then Rod sang for awhile and it was pretty much a snoozefest for me. I've never really been a fan.

Adam and Kris with Queen: We are the Champions. Hell Yeah! This was just awesome... I love Queen. Oh yeah, and the rest of the Idol people were there too. :) I should say that I've noticed that Kris really has great pitch. But nothing can compare to the way Adam can sing with bands like Queen. He kicked ass!!!!

Duets:
Lil Rounds and Queen Latifah: Can I just say Queen Latifah looked wonderful tonight? She's lost so much weight. The duet was cool and upbeat, and I had my toes a-tappin'.

Kris Allen and Keith Urban: Alrighty. Just not my thing. Kris did a great job though.

Allison Iraheta and Cindy Lauper: I would much rather listen to Allison than Cindy any day. I'm sorry, but how long do you have to keep singing "Time after Time?" Ugh.

Danny Gokey and Lionel Richie: He sang "Hello" and was joined by Lionel for some other songs. I think there was some kind of problem between the band and their vocals, it seemed like they were off during "Just Chill." It's hilarious that Danny sang with Lionel... it was totally the cheesiest bit and Danny has a tendency to be cheesy. Seriously. I know all the Wisconsinites were goin' nuts seeing him perform again. He's a really good guy, he does have a really good voice, and I really do wish him luck. Really.

Adam Lambert and KISS: Okay, did you see... did you SEE his outfit? He's absolutely not scared of anyone at this point. He was wearing these wire shoulder pad wing things, platform boots, and glitter on his eyes. So odd, so outlandish, so glam rock. I just love him. Oh yeah, then KISS came out and performed with him. So... then the shoulder pads made more sense. Gene Simmons was looking at Adam like, "WOW." :)

Golden Idol Awards:
Outstanding Male = Nick Mitchell (Norman) -- YAY! He sang "And I am Telling You" - it was kind of his calling card song through the auditions. He's hilarious, and this was like, the best thing ever. Oh my gosh.

Best Attitude: Katrina Darrell. I hate this bitch. Oh, and she kissed Ryan right on the lips, then he said, "I was going to ask, "What's new?" but I think I know. (Fake boobs, biatch.) HA! Oh, and you still can't sing. The best part was that they asked her to sing her audition song again. After the first few verses, Kara came out behind her and showed her exactly how to really do it. Kara just out sang her, it was AWESOME! I thought it would have been hilarious if they turned Katrina's mic off completely, but she just kind of stood there for the most part and didn't sing, looked really pissed, then tried to sing over Kara. Yeah, it didn't work. Then Kara opened her dress to show a black bikini, and she looked way hotter. Okay, sorry for the crazy recap, but it was AWESOME!!!!!!!

Outstanding Female: Tatiana DelTorro. Duh. Okay, so I can't tell if the whole thing with her going nuts with the security and everything was a joke or not. I'm gonna pass on it.

Adam, you're still number one to me!

Bye-Bye Matt.

It gets really crappy and hard toward the end of this show. Matt Giraud is SO talented. With love for you, cutie pie, I wish you all the best!

On a side note, why was Adam in the bottom two tonight? He has more iTunes downloads than any other contestant. Oh, have I mentioned I don't vote? I should probably start. This has got to shock his lazy non voters a bit... it shocked me.

Next week is Rock week. With three rockers and one versatile contestant... it's bound to be a really cool week. :)

American Idol - Top 5 Performances

The finale is coming!!!!!!!!!!!

This week is Standards from the Rat Pack era. This is one of my FAVORITE themes and they don't do it every year. So I'm really excited.

Danny, Allison, Matt, Kris and ADAM all look gorgeous tonight. I've never seen such a good looking top five.

Jamie Foxx is the coach dude this week, which is BAD ASS. He's phenomenally talented. I would be absolutely terrified to sing in front of Jamie Foxx, seriously. I would shit my pants.

Alrighty! Let's get into the performances.

Kris Allen - The Way You Look Tonight: He's looking more beautiful tonight than I ever remember. He's so cute! He did a great job with the song and I love the fact that I got to focus on his vocals instead of the guitar. It might be one of my favorite performances of his. Randy was probably right in saying it was his best performance to date.

Allison - Someone to Watch Over Me: This is one of my very favorite old time songs. The arrangement was WAY too slow for me. The song just drug on for freakin' ever. She's very talented and has a great voice, but I was so bored. And I love this song. By the end it picked up which is nice, but it was still too slow. Aside from that, she's a great singer.

Matt Giraud - My Funny Valentine: Okay, holy crap. This song could contend to be my favorite. I should interject that Jamie Foxx gives awesome advice... and he's my favorite guest so far. He had a TINY bit of pitchiness at the very beginning, but the rest of it was so good. This was THE BEST performance I've seen from him, and for me... it even beats his Hollywood week performance of Georgia on my Mind. PHENOMENAL! I got chills. I do NOT agree with the judges. I saw him tear a bit during the song, the emotional side was there, and I agree with Paula and Simon.

Danny Gokey - Come Rain or Come Shine: Great song. Gah, I LOVE this era, can you tell??? Anything Billie Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald sang, I'm good with, y'all. Danny singing "yeah, yeah" was SO cheesy. Hokey Gokey. Hokey Gokey. After the song picked up a bit, I enjoyed him a lot more. This was probably my favorite performance of his. He put a little grit and spit onto a classic song. Not bad.

ADAM Lambert - Feeling Good: Great song. I LOVE THIS MAN, I'm seriously going to cream myself. Just hearing him puts my arms and gut numb. Even Jamie Foxx said, "I'm cryin'." It's just that good. It amazes me that he can belt the hell out of these notes, hold them, then bring them back down with so much control. It's absolutely insane. He's wicked, wicked talented. Oh, and the white suit is LOVELY and lickable. Delish. Seriously, Kara said his performances are sleazy, and that's exactly it. SO HOT.

And now I have no idea who'll be in the bottom three. Okay, I'd say it'll be Allison, Matt and Kris, though that doesn't make me happy. I'd trade out Danny for Allison and keep Allison and Adam in the top two.

We'll see how next week goes! :)

Obsession

No bona fide lunatic is complete without regular indulgence of an obsession.

So here's mine. Adam Lambert. Seriously.

I regularly picture this above me:

And hope someday to have this man in my studio like this:

And this performance is UH MAZING. It's unfair to the other contestants they let him in... he's a seasoned pro.

Yep. That's all for now.

Carry on.

American Idol: Top 7 Performances... Again

I'm sorry for my calloused neglect in recapping. I'm in Denver, so I actually didn't get to do my usual watch/blog thing.

Disco Week:

Lil Rounds - I'm Every Woman: This was her kiss of death. NEVER do a Whitney song on American Idol. Just don't. They nailed it on the head when they said "You've been every other woman on that stage but yourself." It's her time to go home.

Kris Allen - She Works Hard For the Money: Fantastic. Very Mrazy. He's a cutie.

Allison Iraheta - Hot Stuff: She's wildly talented, particularly for her age. I hate her outfit this week. She's gotten so cocky... but I still think she's awesome. I don't have much of a comment on the song because I just don't like it very much.

Danny Gokey - September: I'm really tempted to adopt the nickname "Hokey Gokey" from Allie over at Allie is Wired. I know he's a good singer, and I know he's from Milwaukee so I should automatically be all for him. But he truly is hokey. I just don't get into it, and I don't get excited to watch him. Meh.

Adam Lambert - If I Can't Have You: He's my wet dream lover right now, and I FUCKING adore him. Anyway. I loved this choice of song. It is so perfect with the LGBT fight for equality right now... it was moving and fabulous. Oh, and he's a great singer. Oh, and he's gorgeous.

Matt Giraud - Staying Alive: I still really enjoy watching him. I think he's got some really great vocal talent. I think he tried to push his vocal runs a bit too much toward the end of the song and it seemed a little panicky. But, I LOVED when the background singers came out from behind the mic stands and the four of them were standing together, groovin and dancing. It was fun. :)

Anoop Desai - Dim All The Lights: He's got such a beautiful voice. Unfortunately he seemed a tad shakey on this song. I did love his outfit. I don't think the song choice was a good one. And I really don't think he'll stay another week. :(

SO!

We'll see how the results go tonight. I hope it's Lil and Anoop. I'd like to see Matt for another week.

Muah,

~Jenn

Adam Lambert

He's SO hot. The more I see him, the more he drives me crazy.

This performance in particular makes my special parts all tingly.

As do these photos.

Seriously... look at the man. FLIBBERDEEGIBBIT!!!!!!!!!!!

And... with as much as those photos turn me on... it's just a crying shame to see this:

(Okay, so this turns me on too. It just makes me jealous.)

So many of the great ones are gay. Gah!
