Juice Fast Extravaganza! Beginning!!!

Hello lovelies!

Well, I have lots of news and I haven't been a proper EHG, and I haven't been sharing.  So I'm back in full force.

Over the last few months I've definitely lost sight of myself, my body and my control over food.  I've been eating crap, and the weight I've gained is what I have to show for it.

I watched a documentary called Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead.  I highly recommend this documentary, and you should watch it if you enjoy documentaries about health, wellness, nutrition, fitness, etc.  It's about two men who juice fast for 60 days.  (wow...) and how it changes their bodies and lives.

I was so inspired, I decided to do an introductory juice fast for 15 days.  Not only to reboot my body, retrain my thought process about food and gain some clarity, but also for the inevitable weight loss that occurs, and to help my skin out a little bit.  (Juicers / raw foodists are notoriously glowing, pretty skin, sparkling eyes... I need that.)

Here is a "before" type shot of me with no makeup, showing my (eugh) skin.  Hopefully there is an improvement over the process.

From here I'll be updating every day if I can, to let you know how it goes, how I feel, and how it changes me.  Hopefully for the better. :)

SO.  Day one!  What I'm drinking here is a really simple orange and strawberry juice.  I have tons of produce and I'm ready to jump in with both feet! :)

Stats:
Weight = 173.0
Bust = 39.5
Waist = 31.5
Lower belly = 38.5
Butt = 43.5
Hips = 42

Woohoo! The reboot is lots of fun! I did the five day juice only diet, and I jump started my loss with it. I hated the green juices though. Spinach is lovely in a salad, gross in a juice according to my taste buds.

I hope it goes well for you!

Raw food and juice fasting has totally changed my skin. People think I'm wearing makeup when I'm not and they comment on my healthy glow. Best of luck Hunny. I think you'll be very pleased with the results!!

Good luck! I completed a 30 day fast. I lost 20lbs and felt amazing, it did not however help me with my skin or hair at all. Which I was really hoping for. But I know a lot of people do have luck with that, so I wish the best for you! I am now starting my second go! I love juicing!

I did it for three days then someone gave me a chocolate bar that I inhaled - I was soooo high on the sugar buzz I thought I was invincible lol. Good luck.

This will be fascinating to follow!

I've always considered a juice fast (though even 15 days seems like a TON to me) so I will be eagerly checking in for the report!

Yay! I'm so glad you're back! I've never commented but have been following you for SUCH a long time. Happy to (hopefully) be getting regular updates again. And congrats on your marriage!

Good luck with that! I know I could not survive 60 days on juicing. I'm wondering if I could make 15 days. Maybe I'll decide after your 15 day run!

I'm also juice fasting and it has COMPLETELY reset my eating habits, my relationship with food, and the way I feel about myself. BEST decision I've ever made my pursuit of health.

Congrats on your marriage and good luck!

Good luck - juice fasting is not easy to do.

I watched the same documentary and it inspired me to do this as well! Joe Cross is changing the world, one over weight American at a time.

Are you following an already outlined juice diet, or are you just winging it? Just curious. (c: Excited to see your results and hopefully it'll be encouragement enough for me to try it!
