The Popcorn and the Friends.

Hello lovely readers!

I've noticed I'm 3 followers away from hitting 2000 on my blog.  MADNESS!  I'd like to give Blogs of Note another thank-you shout-out for making me a Blog of Note.  Just crazy how things go sometimes!  And it's AWESOME to have all you guys around to read and comment and help me when I need help and give advice and such.

Well!  Sorry for the lack of updating.  (I realize that I say that a lot.)  It's been a crazy week.  I saw John Mayer at the Bradley Center here in Milwaukee, then I saw Chris Thile and the Punch Brothers three times over the course of four days.  I also shot a wedding!  Add in to that mix my Brother coming out for three days, and my two best friends coming out for a week, and you've got a VERY busy Jenn.

I wanted to share some photos with you all.  You can click here to see all the gorgeous wedding shots.

Wes, Daniel and Jesse hanging out with us, eating some seafood!

I had the BEST cribbage hand after the concert.  Anybody out there play?  Can you figure out how many points this is!?  Crazy.

Punch Brothers.  /le-sigh.

Us out with a few new friends from Chicago!... VERY drunk at this point.

One of the best things about Chicago is the FOG.  It was so beautiful!

SO!  In terms of eating, I've gone back to a sort of maintenance mode.  Friends in town who want to try all the great local eats... it's really hard.  Wes does low carb and he's taking a little break too.  Of course that gives me freedom to not only eat the fish fry, but to have the Chicago mix popcorn and the White Castle burgers too.  I also had a piece of wedding cake on Saturday, and some bread and rice.

I'm feeling okay though.  I'm still around 173.  :)

I know Chicago is a big city and all, but we were there this weekend too! It was our first time visiting. We actually went past the Red Head Piano Bar and remembered thinking it was a very eye-catching sign.

And the fog was nuts!!!

I love cribbage! We call that a 16 without a 15; 16 points without any 15 combos. Good job! :)

Soooo great to hear that you are doing so well!!! It seems as if you are really busy...but you didn't mention if you found a studio!

Hope all is great and if you're up for fun I have a GIVE-A-WAY going on (my first)...why not add a little fun with a game of TRUTH or DARE...if you want in, entries are being accepted till Saturday at midnight...and yes, I am carrying out some of these antics too...like I just made out with a sock monkey and vlogged it!

xoxo

The picture of the rain boots is GREAT! I love it!

Sounds like you are having an amazing life, just as it should be!

Now the redhead piano bar...is it run by redheads? Do redheads frequent this place? Do redheads sing there? I'm always curious about other redheads!

Thank you for sharing pictures. :o)

Hi! I would have emailed this question, but I must be blind because I can't find a contact email on either blog. *blushes*

I just clicked over to your photo blog (pictures are gorgeous, BTW!): what font is used in the header? It's exactly what I had in mind for a tattoo...

Thanks in advance! :)

Congrats of almost reaching 2000!

Was the Chicago popcorn mix the one with cheesy popcorn in it? I forget the name of the popcorn store...but that stuff is deadly! So good!

The Redhead Piano Bar is a fun place...now I'm missing Chicago...

PS Have you ever listened to Drex on 103.5 FM in the mornings in Chicago? It's TMI every day on that show! Sometimes they start talking about stuff I've never even heard of!

Isn't that actually 24 points? We played a lot of cribbage on our trip to Thailand... and determined the best possible hand is four 5s, and flipping a jack. But this one is pretty freaking close to perfect. :-)

Casey: you are right, it is 24 points. I don't know why I thought there were no 15 combos. Shows you I need to play some more crib!

Three times a year, my job requires me to sit in an office 8 hours a day for a month.

Since we aren't required to do anything other than be here, my coworkers and I come up with interesting ways to wile away the hours.

On Wednesday we invited the Lyric game. Someone sings a lyric, the next person has to sing a lyric which contains the last word of the previous lyric. Given the word leave, I sang, "If you're gonna leave me, set my up with one your friends."

They didn't believe it was a song, so I looked it up for them. They thought it was hilarious! :D
