Bitch is Back.

1.  The Bitch (me), back from Cancun.
2.  The Bitch (weight), back up to 180.

A week of all-inclusive vacation bliss was awesome~!  Thanks for the recommendation for the Blanc Martini too... that was freakin' delicious.  I recommend the Riu Cancun resort for anyone looking to vacation in Cancun.  The staff was fantastic and friendly, the pools are wonderful and the beach was gorgeous.

I will say, with regret, that I'm back up to 180 as of this morning.  It's not period weight, it's not an overdose of sodium... it's pure and solid weight gain.  I haven't been 180 since November of last year.  That means I've (sort of) maintained my weight over the last six months but... actually I've been on a slow and steady up and sort of down, and sort of up again +2 lbs per month-ish trend since January.  I was down to 167.6 on January 15th, so it took me two months to lose those 12 pounds, and 4 months to gain them back.  Ugh!

So... what was I doing to lose those 12 pounds?  I went back in time and realized it was the lower calorie eating I did.

I have slacked on the Eat.Stop.Eat program, and the resort situation  put a major dent in those efforts.  I couldn't NOT eat for 24 hours on this trip.  I still really think that it could work really well for me, so I'd like to give it another solid go-round.

I'm stocked with a ton of salad at the house, but I need to go shopping.  Need staples like chicken, frozen veggies and some other healthy goods.

Also, a quick note, my friend Beth over at the B.E.T.H. Approach is doing her first giveaway, so you should go check it out!

Glad to hear that you had a great vacation!
Not to be the party pooper, I spoke about your eat stop method to my nutritionist and she told me that was the best way to screw up your system. By depriving your body, it will start burning muscles, instead of fat and will then stock fat even more when you start eating again. Go back to the low calorie diet, it's much better for you!!

Vacations are hard when watching our calorie, points, whatever. Glad you had fun! I'm sure you will have those pounds off in no time :)

Welcome back home and you know I'm always good for a bike ride or a walk (read: shopping.) You had fun, now get back to business and get you back down. Also. . . you need to share some Cancun pics.

Loves!

You'll figure it out. I think you should try out the Eat. Stop. Eat. If you like the idea of it.

I'm glad you had fun!

I've kinda modified ESE for my lifestyle. I'm going to eat whatever I'm going to eat, and I'm not going to eat until I'm hungry again. If this means 5 meals a day, fine. If it's one a day, and a snack or two, even better. Even if I skip breakfast, I don't eat when I'm not hungry and don't want to eat. It seems that this time of year there are too many parties, big meals, and I like to participate, and this is a way to mitigate any damages, lose some more too.

But you must've gotten some tan, which makes us look skinnier... right? Right?? ;-)

Coming back from a vacay with a few extra pounds means you enjoyed yourself. No reason to beat yourself up. Now KEEPING those extra pounds, probably not a good idea, but if you aren't on vacay anymore, then why would you keep them? See?

Love your blog so far and think you are really brave to put your ups and downs with weight out there for all of us.
